Chris Stott
Operations Director
Chris brings a wealth of experience in commercial fit-out, renewable energy, and security areas to Orbem.
Chris started his career as an electrical apprentice in 2008 and qualified in 2012. After becoming qualified Chris gained extensive experience in commercial fit-outs and Solar PV in the renewable energy sector. Chris moved into the Security sector to increase his knowledge and experience on large-scale door access and CCTV installations. Where I was the project lead on multiple control room upgrades.

In 2019 Chris started his own electrical installation business, Brooklands Electrical, with his Business Partner Brandon Rowlands, Orbems Technical Director. Brooklands won contracts in the retail, commercial, transport, education, healthcare, and leisure/hospitality sectors. Contracted to a nationwide rollout of new retail premises for a well-known brand, completing upwards of 2 retail fit-outs per month. Brooklands was contracting with the NHS and Northern Rail on multiple projects in the North of England including a Covid Vaccination Center capable of administering 6000 Vaccinations a day. were also Contracted to provide reactive and planned maintenance at the John Smith’s stadium.
In early 2022 Instaspark was launched by Rob, Brandon, and Chris, bringing together their experience and knowledge of specialist electrical services to domestic and commercial customers.
Now, in 2024, Orbem is launching. Offering specialist commercial electrical services to a wide range of sectors.
Notable projects:
- 5-Megawatt system in Malton North Yorkshire.
- 2-Megawatt system on a warehousing site in Doncaster.
- Site lead for the delivery of multiple 6 figure commercial fit-out projects.
Brandon Rowlands
Technical Director
Brandon started his electrical apprenticeship straight from school, completing a 4-year apprenticeship in just under 3 years. At the age of 18 Brandon was running jobs, mainly shop fit-outs, for high street brands.
In April 2011 Brandon became self-employed and took his two main customers business across with him to his new business. This business grew very quickly to a team of 6 working up and down the country, primarily in retail and commercial fit-out. After 4 years, the business moved into the renewable energy sector, carrying out solar PV installation as well as electrical installation to biomass systems. Brandons work on a wide variety of projects took him to Dubai, Beijing and Lagos.

In 2019 Brandon started his own electrical installation business, Brooklands Electrical, with his Business Partner Chris Scott, Orbems Operations Director. With Chris, Brandon grew Brooklands Electrical through the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, winning contracts in the retail, commercial, transport, education, healthcare, and leisure/hospitality sectors.

Now, in 2024, Orbem is launching. Offering specialist commercial electrical services to a wide range of sectors.

- Installation of over 5MW of solar PV across multiple sites.
- Central London burger brand new store roll-out.
- Student Accommodation – Common room refurbishment across 9 sites.
Rob Stone
Director
Award-winning entrepreneur and founder of a group of successful companies, Rob has a proven track record of founding and growing businesses.
In 2014 Rob single handedly launched Instaloft, which has now become the UK’s largest installer of loft storage solutions, which includes the LoftZone Storefloor Raised Loft Boarding, and winner of the Scale-up Entrepreneur of the Year – Midlands.

In January 2022 Rob launched Instaspark, with Brandon and Chris, bringing their experience and knowledge of specialist electrical services to domestic and commercial customers. Rob’s dedication to growing Instaspark was recognised by the UK Business Awards, receiving a nomination for Best Customer Experience.
In 2022 Rob purchased the Garageflex business to further strengthen his portfolio of businesses. Offering a range of bespoke storage, flooring, and ceiling solutions the Garageflex business transforms underutilised
The Instaloft Group recently celebrated a win at the Growing Business Awards, where Rob was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Large Company category. This follows several prestigious award wins and nominations across the Group.
Now, in 2024, Orbem is launching. Offering specialist commercial electrical services to a wide range of sectors.
Business Development Executive
Ash attended Sheffield Hallam University and achieved a 2:1 BSc Construction Management Hons degree. Ash started his career as a graduate Site Manager and quickly progressed in site, project, and contracts management eventually becoming Managing Director of his own contracting business.
Ash brings a wealth of experience to Orbem, from national commercial and retail projects to working on landmark and specialist projects within the Rail, Local Government, Commercial, and Industrial sectors.

A highlight for Ash was receiving a Gold Award standard and the most considerate site in the UK at the City of London Corporation Considerate Contractors Streetworks Scheme. These accolades are awarded to contractors that strive for the best standards in the industry and perform to the highest levels.
